Wrestlepalooza: No, you can’t watch it on Peacock; Here’s Why
If you’re a WWE fan, and you’re reading this right now, you’re probably not very happy. You got on your Peacock streaming service to watch the WWE Pay Per View or “Premium Live Event” and it’s not there.
You’re not mistaken. You cannot watch WWE Wrestlepalooza on Peacock. It’s only available on the ESPN streaming service.
And you’re not the only one who is disappointed.
WWE fans were upset when ESPN acquired the rights to the Pay Per Views, or Premium Live Events this summer. And they should be. This is because it was going to result in more money out of pocket to watch a fragmented product.
WWE fans must now pay subscription costs to ESPN, Netflix, and cable to ensure they’re getting most of the programming. There are still no guarantees that WWE won’t spread out the broadcasts among even more subscribers.
That’s between $80 and $100 dollars a month.
And even the actual scope of the PLEs themselves are getting narrower and more oppressive. WWE has announced they will host a Wrestlemania in Saudi Arabia, where the fans are not as enthusiastic and women are restricted from what they wear and censored in many public areas.
If you’re a consumer on a budget like myself, then that means you’ll simply have to watch something else.
Fortunately, content creators post the footage from the events seconds after it happens and WWE airs most of their manicured footage on the very next broadcast of WWE Raw or Smackdown.
Would you continue to enjoy watching PLE’s? Sure.
Do you have to watch PLE’s? No, not at all.
Do what your budget allows.
