WWE: Mild ESPN Review Proves Price Increase Was Unfair
WWE fans were once again forced to pull out the wallet to watch Wrestlepalooza on Saturday, after the sports entertainment giant added another platform viewers would need to pay for to watch their programming. This time ESPN. And at over three times the cost to $30 over what they were paying before.
Fans who are choosing to stay with WWE deserve better than a “C” show after paying triple what they’ve become accustomed to.
And when you look at the five match card, we’re playing $6 to watch the Usos fight “The Vision” again.
It’s just more insult to injury from an organization that continue to take it’s customer’s dollar for granted. And it’s not just with programming, but with merchandising and experiences, all while becoming increasingly blind to the market research element of what the fans actually want.
Instead, we’ll just continue to pay more money for Logan Paul in Saudi Arabia. An event that in its own booking, hurts the American economy by taking away that business from a city right here in the US, where the women aren’t censored.
Ultimately, the decision is still with you and I. If you like what you’re seeing and you’re able to afford the increase, then go ahead and pay the extra money for the product they’re giving you.
But, if you decide that you can’t afford a Netflix subscription, and a cable bill, and now an ESPN subscription, and whatever else WWE throws at your wallet, then that’s perfectly understandable as well.
