Ashwaubenon IHOP Eyesore Just Keeps Getting Uglier

Yikes. That is one ugly building.

The old International House Of Pancakes building or IHOP in Ashwaubenon, is actually degrading in appearance, as the structure remains empty after IHOP consolidated with Applebees down the street (story HERE).

It’s now the IHOP Eyesore in Ashwaubenon.

It’s bad enough that its a high visibility structure in the main drag of the Village Of Ashwaubenon, but now they’ve removed the sign, leaving a stain of where it used to be. The parking lot has trash scattered all around, and there are weeds starting to grow between the slabs of sidewalk.

Thank you Dine Brands.

Dine Brands is the parent company of IHOP and Applebees. They’re the ones who left us with this eyesore that looks like a spot where Jason Vorhees and Freddy Krueger would stop in for a stack of pancakes and some coffee before terrorizing the surrounding areas. Just in time for Halloween too.

That’s right. Not only did they leave us with the haunted house in the parking lot of the mall, they’re actually spending less money in Ashwaubenon by consolidating operations under one roof.

What’s the solution? It’s technically private property. There aren’t many.

But you can do what I’m doing about it. And letting people and your community leaders know how you feel.

This location is important. Lambeau Field is on the horizon and Onieda is part of the vehicular “handshake” to people visiting the area.

And right now that first impression is being made by an abandoned pancake house, that is doing more damage empty than almost any other structure in the area right now.

@mrfranktorres Dine Brands has left us with “The IHOP eyesore in Ashwaubenon” down the street by Lambeau Field but they haven’t left town. #Ashwaubenon #GoPackGo ♬ original sound – MrFrankTorres
