Greedy Construction Company Lawsuit Against Green Bay Only Hurts Residents
One of the ugliest angles of municipal public affairs is how these grand construction companies and developers can devolve into sniveling babies when they don’t get their way. They do this by using local governments, and forcing them to do things they don’t want to do. And in turn they hurt residents.
An example of this is the story many of us read when we opened the newspaper on Monday morning, when one of these greedy construction companies sued us when they didn’t get their way. I’m talking about the highly anticipated Leicht Park project (story HERE).
And I do mean they sued us.
Because while the City Of Green Bay is trying to do everything it can to save money and make progress in our neighborhoods, this construction company is forcing us to use more resources because a bid didn’t land their way. This kind of litigation hurts us, our children, and our neighbors.
And this lawsuit is also poisoning the air around what will be a jewel for the city. This Leicht Park project is going to be a great gathering place for Northeast Wisconsinites (story HERE).
I’m not sure what exactly these leeches want from us. But I can tell you that I’m not going to forget what they’re doing. And every time I see their name on anything as notable as a port-a-potty, I’m going to tell everyone involved with the project how they hurt us.
And if they should legally wrangle things to get their way, we can’t forget how they held us and the Leicht Park project hostage for their own personal gain.
