Shrinking: Sean isn’t okay and 5 other thoughts from S2 E4 “Made You Look”
This season of Shrinking is moving too fast! That being said, we got another winner with episode four of season two “Made You Look”.
We have to talk about Sean: As a fellow struggling veteran, this character is important to me. While I was happy to see him patch things up with Liz so quickly, the violence is upsetting. Yes, the character was violent in season one but he seems to be regressing and getting aggressive with his friends. It’s tough because this sentiment bleeds over into the real world sometimes. As for the actual story, I’m worried it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
Great seeing Damon Wayans Jr: There aren’t too many pieces that could make this cast much better but DWJ is one of them. “New Girl” was terrific. And he was terrific in it. Goodness, he looks like his dad.
The love triangle slow burn is fun: You can appreciate the patience of not ripping the band aid off right away with Alice’s mistake. There was some fun suspense to kick off the episode and I’m fearing the reveal when (and if) it arrives.
Racist Pam continuity: The out of the blue callback to racist Pam was a laugh out loud moment. Comedic continuity is real. And when used properly, it works wonderfully.

Brian and Double D: It was a clever twist to have Brian come across Double D in front of Jimmy’s house. As a viewer, I won’t ride along for the forgiveness angle because its an unforgivable crime, but it’s being done very well.
