On the season 3 premiere of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, actress Kayla Nicole had the opportunity to tell her story regarding her relationship with Kansas City Chief Super Bowl Champion, Travis Kelce.

And of course, his girlfriend, global pop superstar, Taylor Swift.

During some time between challenges, Kayla gets to explain what it’s like watching your ex rebound with one of the most beloved celebrities on the planet.

And while her story is sad, it’s an undeniable victory for everyone. Kayla, the show, and the viewers.

Nicole has successfully expanded that economy to her benefit. And what’s better is that the viewers connected with it.

The show got to roll that mileage into a spot where the staff is actually discovering what the fascination behind Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce is. That is good television.

And of course, viewers who may not have had something to connect to this season, and might be looking for a new favorite after the early boot of some big names, have another thread to pull here.

They did something similar with the Tom “Scandoval” controversy last season, with the Vander Pump star’s controversial break up with Ariana Madix. Meanwhile, she was doing the same thing on Dancing with the Stars, a couple of channels away, a night earlier.

The Kayla Nicole connection could work the same way.
