Here is the ESPN NFL Draft ad filmed in downtown Green Bay
The 2025 NFL Draft will be the biggest event in Green Bay’s history, and as we close in with less than 80 days before teams are “on the clock” to determine their futures, the promotion for the event is starting to pick up.
Recently, an NFL Draft teaser was shot in downtown Green Bay, in front of a coffee shop that many locals are familiar with, and where I’ve hit “publish” on many of the posts for this blog.
The spot has a retro feel, implied with legendary Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi watching store front televisions featuring memorable draft moments from the past. We get a brief overhead shot of Lambeau Field. Lombardi walking out of the tunnel, and the main graphic. It’s very well done.
I actually had the opportunity to watch production for a couple of minutes. Green Bay Police had the corner of Bodart and Jackson closed off and they used a large jib to project that yellow light. Without context as to what was going on, it looked like they were shooting an old detective story.
But the spot is going to be much more important to the area than that.
The historical reference is important. Many visitors for the draft will be making the trip to Green Bay because of it’s historical significance to the country’s most popular sport. And the NFL continues to expand it’s global reach, with games being played in Ireland next year.
It all starts with the NFL Draft, which is going to be here before you know it.
You can watch the spot below.
