With the Super Bowl hardly half a day in our rear view mirror, speculation over what could take place at the NFL Draft right here in Green Bay has already started to buzz.

There are rumors that the Tennessee Titans, the owners of the first overall pick in the draft are leaving no possibilities off of the table, including trading away that #1 overall pick (story HERE).

Now, there will be plenty of football analysis between now and April over what the Titans could do, and what it means for the future of those faithful fans in Tennessee.

But what does it mean for us here in Green Bay, where we’ll have a quarter of a million people in our streets awaiting this news?

It means uncertainty. And in the realm of professional sports uncertainty equals excitement. And we want an exciting draft here in Green Bay.

Excitement means more eyeballs. Excitement as fans from all over the world make their way to Northeast Wisconsin, and on television where the NFL Draft will once again be a big prime time event.

We have to remember that two of the biggest media markets in the country are drafting in the top ten. We’ve got the Giants, the Jets, and our wacky neighbors down south in Chicago, all drafting in the first hour of coverage. What the Titans do will have to pull interest from the fan bases of all of those teams.

Let’s hope that the Tennessee Titans, who already gave us the gift of Malik Willis, will enjoy their time in the draft spotlight, and will keep us all in suspense for as long as possible.
