Big Brothers Big Sisters launches draft of mentors ahead of NFL Draft in Green Bay

With the Super Bowl behind us, organizations all over Wisconsin are preparing for the NFL Draft, which will take place right here in Green Bay, including some organizations with a mission focused on great causes.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin has announced “The BIG Draft 25” where they’ll be on the lookout to draft it’s next group of mentors.

They’ve released a spot featuring Green Bay Packers President Mark Murphy, filmed at Lambeau Field with some special guests that you can watch below..

In partnership with the NFL Inspire Change initiative, Big Brothers Big Sisters’ annual recruiting campaign – The Big Draft – inspires potential volunteers to connect with youth mentorship through their love of the game. The Big Draft aims to recruit 10,000 new mentors this season. Are you in?

The NFL Draft is expected to be the biggest event in Green Bay’s history, with about 250,000 expected in late April as teams begin building their futures, as the NFL continues its expansion around the globe.

As for the BBBS mission, it becomes more important as ever, as our youth continues to face challenges during important phases of their development, that has only been aggravated in recent years with negative elements reaching them through mediums such as social media and other digital communications.

With just over 70 days left until the Tennessee Titans are “on the clock” with the #1 pick in the draft, you can expect similar community efforts from other organizations to, pick as the opportunity to increase awareness of these issues through the NFL’s huge audience.
