Green Bay losing it’s only 24/7 Pet Hospital puts our furry friends in serious danger

People love animals. They don’t even have to be theirs. Look at the panic caused when someone leaves their dog in a vehicle during a hot summer day or a cold winter night. They’ll call the cops to free it, and stop short of bringing in the National Guard if that doesn’t work.

Which is why Green Bay losing it’s only 24/7 Animal Hospital is a step back in the development of a community (story HERE).

The truth is that a 24/7 Pet Hospital is one of those things you’ll drive by and notice, but not a service you won’t ever imagine needing until a pet crisis actually arrives.

And because pets are like family to many of us, we’ll do whatever we have to in order to ensure our pets live if they have a medical emergency.

That means driving an extra half hour to Appleton if needed. And depending on how busy they are, that drive could stretch even further.

But you’ll do it. And if you have kids who are observing the suffering of their cat or dog, then you most certainly will.

In case you haven’t dealt with a sick pet before, there is a very scary uncertainty about it. Pets obviously can’t let you know what is wrong, so you observe. You’re basically guessing.

And when there is a 24/7 pet hospital, you can move quickly if you need to.

In Green Bay, that won’t be the case anymore.

In advance, let’s send our hearts out to the families who don’t keep up with this kind of news and will realize that immediate help for their pets won’t be available until it’s too late.
