Million Dollar Secret is roaring towards the end of its first season, and the pentultimate episode gave us a lot to digest, as we got a new millionaire in the form of Cara, who I still can’t believe flips burgers at In And Out. The end of the show sent Kyle and Jaimi home. Both who were innocent and never had the money.

Here are five take aways from the episode:

Cara can lie just fine: She’s a sweetheart and the money can help her family who’s had to deal with severe illness. But the way she lied about her siblings was some elite reality television deception.

Sam’s luck continued: The strongest player up to this point continued experiencing good luck after she inherited a clue telling us how many siblings the millionaire had. Ultimately, it sent the wrong person home though in Jaimi, after Cara lied.

The challenge proved worthless after the trophy room mechanic remained broken: Sydnee and Jaimi won the challenge, but it did no good. When Sydnee was ready for her clue, she was given a tough hidden agenda instead. And even after she earned it, it proved moot. If Million Dollar Secret gets a second season (I hope it does), they need to fix this. It makes no sense.

Cara wasted her kill shot on Kyle: Yeah, she was right about him voting for her (the final graphic illustrated that). But Sam and Sydnee have proven to be much more dangerous players. No way you could let them continue.

Kyle and Jaimi both left looking good: I enjoyed both players. And they left with a solid amount of good will. I wish them both more future projects.
