The Four Seasons: S1E6 Ultimate Frisbee Recap

Six episodes in and out second foray out into the fall of The Four Seasons. If you’re looking for a recap of a wild episode five, look HERE.

What Happened?: We begin with Kate bringing Jack a sandwich from his favorite place (how many times has he eaten in 12 hours?) but the order is wrong. Jack ordered room service but Kate is worried about clean-up. We find out that Danny slept in Kate’s room after the fight, and Claude is gone when he gets back to the room. Nick tries to join Lila and his ex for breakfast but they end up fighting.

The group then heads out to play a game of ultimate frisbee. Sure enough, Lila and Ginny actually begin to get along and even share a hug. Things don’t go so well for Danny and Claude. Claude gives Danny an ultimatum about their relationship. Kate tries to have a “sex day” with Jack when they get back to the room but he’s injured from the game. This grows into a fight about how Jack acts around everyone else except Kate. Kate heads to the bar with Danny. And Ginny finds Claude depressed and starts to bond with him.

Nick and Lila head out for a father/daughter afternoon, and while it starts off rough, they agree that Ginny is just Kate in a younger body. Kate and Danny have a spat over Claude.

But boy, is that nothing compared to what’s next.

When Kate gets back to the room Jack tells her that he kissed Anne. Kate starts laughing hysterically and leaves the room. Danny learns there was an accident on the scooter tour, he thinks something happened to Claude but it was a lady trying to dodge a squirrel. Kate runs into Anne on the footsteps and the two have a good talk with no anger. To close the episode Kate and Jack agree to go to therapy and throw a tantrum about it.

Quotes:

(About the frisbee game)

Kate: “Can’t wait to see the 30 for 30 they make of this.”

(To Jack about Nick)

Kate: “You’re jealous because he has a 32 year old sex hygienist catering to his every need. And I hate to break it to you buddy, but you’re married to a middle aged woman with dry skin.”

(Talking to Danny about Jack)

Kate: “I want to meet him where he’s at but he’s like a bird that hit a window. He’s always f*****g stunned.”

(To Anne about Kate)

Jack: “Kate and I got into a fight. I don’t want to get into it. I just don’t know why she treats me with such disdain.”

(Kate and Anne)

Anne: “Kate, I have something to tell you. I don’t even know how to begin.”

Kate: “You kissed Jack.”

Anne: “Did he tell you?”

Kate: “No, but it’s all over campus that you’re a wh**e.”

Trivia and Tie-ins:

That’s why I don’t let anyone order sandwiches for me either. It’s a tough order to make. Like buying someone else clothes.

Ginny grabbed the ice out of the machine with her hands. Gross.

Anne calls back go Jacks’ dancing skills even though she wasn’t at the beach party.

The episode was actually directed by Colman Domingo (Danny). He did a fine job with the most dynamic episode of the series to this point.
