If you’re a Cellcom customer in the metropolitan Green Bay area right now, you’re probably not in a very good mood. You’ve been without important services for quite some time now (story HERE). And you’re not getting any real answers as to why it’s happening.

It’s been going on since Wednesday evening. This post is being published on Friday afternoon.

Let’s get the slack out of the way because, while patience is important, they’re still taking your money for a service you’re not getting. You’d better believe that. If this were a restaurant, you’d give the server your order and you would skip straight to the bill. No meal would be consumed.

You also need to remember how big of an industry telecommunications really is. I’ve been in the trenches watching wireless lobbyists ask your elected officials for policies that put themselves before the customer. They’re some of the biggest sharks in the water.

They’ve referred to themselves on multiple occasions as “the new utility”. It’s powerful language to get what you want. And it works all over the United States.

So, I’ll ask you. How would you feel if your electricity was out for this long of a period? What about your water?

Even if you don’t think it’s the same. The cellphone companies are pretending they’re the same and should be held accountable as such.

And if you think Cellcom is different, we’re talking about the same company who once asked for their donation money to be given back (story HERE).

Everyone goes through hard times. But few businesses can be as cold as the phone companies when it’s their customers who can’t find answers. They’ll just cut your service.

And it’s a crime that we can’t hold them accountable when they can’t deliver.

If you’re angry at Cellcom, you’re not alone. I’m angry for you. And you should think about changes the next time their auto pay algorithm takes your money without considering the repercussions of the mess they’ve made here.

Because while we’re thinking about them. They’ll take your money without thinking about you.
