Five Changes The New Kwik Trip On West Mason Will Trigger In Green Bay
You know, I’m not even originally from Wisconsin but over the past few years, I’ve become a daily Kwik Trip customer like the rest of you. The versatile convenience store should be the standard, and if you’ve been to other Kwik Trip-less regions of the country, you’d agree (looking at you 7-11).
And now Green Bay is getting another store on West Mason. It’s solid location, but it will cause some residents to change the flow of their day which will also result in some changes for the area, including other local businesses.
Here are just a couple:
It will be an immediate cosmetic improvement: Let’s be real. That old shopping center was tough to look at ten times a week on your commute. Most of it was empty anyways. A new Kwik Trip will brighten up that part of Mason.
It will allow some loyal customers an alternative to the embattled Walnut location: No, this post isn’t all positive. That Walnut Kwik Trip has been so over run with thieves in it’s aisles and drug users in it’s bathrooms that it’s had to close early (story HERE). The employees are cool, but the customer base is detestable. You’ll see some customers shift their routines to that brand new store that doesn’t involve getting bullied at the gas pump and while waiting in line.
The trio of nearby coffee spots will take a hit: Kwik Trip coffee isn’t as good as the premium specialty locations, but it’s perfectly fine and about four bucks cheaper. If you just need the caffeine instead of a dessert beverage, you’ll go with KT.
The fast food joints too: If those drive thrus are full during the dinner hour, you’ll see families opt for the grab and go eats. And the lunch time flow of the store is much more time friendly than waiting at the other places when you’ve only got a half hour to eat.
It will take some pressure off the east Mason store: The east Mason store is fine, but boy does it get crowded. The population gets more dense on the east side and commuters heading both ways on the busy street, will measure both stores before choosing which one to visit if it’s on the way to their final destination.
