The quietest match up of week one is a relatively easy one to point out. It’s the battle of the early 90s expansion teams as the Carolina Panthers float to Duval to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.

There is one interesting angle. Both Bryce Young and Trevor Lawrence could put up big numbers. Here is why..

Last year the Jaguars had the worst defense in football: Which means an improving Bryce Young, who is viewed more as a victim of a bad organization can afford to be more daring here.

The Panthers gave up the most passing touchdowns: And we know that Trevor Lawrence can take a team to the playoffs. He also has a new weapon in Travis Hunter, that many are picking to have immediate impact.

Both Ex Bucs Coordinators will want to replicate their previous successes: Liam Coen and Dave Canales know what its like to have a humming offense. They’ll want to put up some numbers to spike the energy in the organization.

But don’t bank on it: There is no reason why Young or Lawrence should be starting for you unless it’s a very deep league. This post is for the junkies.
