Minnesota Vikings fans were calling for an old hand to steady the ship, as their team got off to a slow start against the Chicago Bears during their Monday Night Football season opener.

Kirk Cousins began trending while JJ McCarthy was starting. McCarthy is expected to be the future of the franchise after the Vikings let both Kirk Cousins, and his eventual regular successor, Sam Darnold, walk to the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks respectively. Cousins is currently a very well paid back up in the ATL

The Vikings shouldn’t be getting dominated by the Bears right now. I think J.J. McCarthy has a bright future, but he doesn’t look ready tonight.

Minnesota should strongly consider trading for Kirk Cousins. They owe it to the other ~50 players on the roster to have solid QB play.
