Green Bay Sex Offender Board Goes Easy On Potentially Dangerous Predators
The Green Bay Sex Offender Board is the cause of my waking nightmare right now. This post is about them, and I’m going to explain how they’re making our community less safe, including my very own area.
In Green Bay, there are restrictions on where sex offenders can live. They can’t live near schools or parks. You’ve probably heard much of this before.
But these predators can appear before the Green Bay Sex Offender Board and be granted exemptions. This is what is happening in my case.
This means the offender can address the board, tell them a one sided account of their background and get voted literally right into your backyard.
The board doesn’t challenge the predators. They will often throw them softball questions. They will allow them to call up one of their friends to speak on their behalf. These predators are given every chance to make themselves look good.
And they can tell lies. There is no prosecutor. These lies go unchallenged. There is almost a pep talk energy that between the sex offender and the board. They’re trying to be kind. But they don’t understand that the sincerity they’re witnessing is fake.
They grant the exemption and the sexual predator gets to call your home their home.
The problem is that sexual predators often commit other crimes. In my case, they’re dealing drugs and running other illegal businesses from my area. Theses activities draw other criminals.
And the next thing you know, your once peaceful neighborhood is now a rally point for other drug dealers and criminals. And yes, other sex offenders too, who realize they can live where you live by taking the same steps.
I’ve talked to GBPD, and my elected officials. They can’t help. I tried to communicate with the board. But there is no way of telling if they’re seeing my words. If they do, they don’t care.
My hope is that you don’t have to go through what I went through. My situation is dangerous.
We need to change the way things are done with this board and how predators are allowed to move into our communities. We won’t be safe until we do.
