As the Green Bay STR Alliance (or Green Bay Short Term Rental Alliance) continues to mobilize to defeat a measure that would allow them to contribute to our community and keep their guests safe, there is a fact that is easily apparent.

A lot of these greedy property owners don’t even live in Green Bay.

That’s right. And many of them don’t even live in Brown County.

There are so many problems with a group like the Green Bay STR Alliance being steered by out of area influences.

They don’t really care about Green Bay: Do you think a property owner in Texas or Chicago really worry about what our community will look like in 10 years? Absolutely not. The truth is that they would still be in hibernation if their bottom lines weren’t being effected.

They just want their money.

They’re fine with their tenants staying in dangerous conditions: Its remarkable how these greedy owners will huddle online and do the mental gymnastics necessary to oppose an ordinance that would keep visitors to our area safe. They’ve all got amnesia after embarrassing us during the NFL draft (story HERE).

If they win, they’ll disappear until their money is threatened again: It’s true. If this ordinance falls, these out of area renters will pop a smoke bomb and vanish. They won’t work to continue tackling our community’s biggest problems. That takes work. And working for something that doesn’t directly make you a profit is a waste of time in their eyes.

Don’t buy the lies being fed to you by the Green Bay STR Alliance. They only want to use our community as an ATM. Let’s pass an ordinance to ensure they’re being safe and responsible.
