Dancing With The Stars: Here Are All Of The Judge’s Choice Assignments For The Finale
The Season 34 Finale of Dancing With The Stars is less than 50 hours away at the time of publication, and the most controversial (and fun) campaign in recent memory will have everyone charged up as we determine the winner.
One of the performances each of the stars will have to traverse is the “Judges Choice” where “the judges provide coaching and insight to each couple as they tackle a final new ballroom or Latin dance style” according to the show.
While I love all three judges, viewers have been more critical than ever when it’s come to the scoring this season. While some have complained the scores have been too high, others have campaigned to bring back the lower numbered paddles.
Let’s see which judge got assigned to which finalist along with some instant analysis..
Alix Earle and partner Val Chmerkovskiy will do a Samba to “Hip Hip Chin Chin” by Club des Belugas with Carrie Ann Inaba
Analysis: Getting Carrie Ann is like admitting to your calculus teacher that you need some tutoring. You’re taking your toughest critic and making an honest attempt to win them over. Alix’s week to week improvement has been undeniable and impressive.
Robert Irwin and Witney Carson will perform a Quickstep to “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” by Jet with Derek Hough
Analysis: Derek knows what wins Mirrorballs. Witney will Witney. She’s already a champion. But Derek can add perspective for Robert that can take him even higher, and the viewers love him.
Dylan Efron and partner Daniella Karagach will do a Paso Doble to “Stampede” by Alexander Jean featuring Lindsey Stirling with Bruno Tonioli
Analysis: Dani has successfully turned another oak tree into a championship contender. And we’re all waiting for what she has planned next. What Dylan needs is Bruno to go “nuclear” during their critique. A ten while standing on the judges table could do it.
Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten will perform a Freestyle to “I Hope I Get It (from A Chorus Line)” by District 78 with Derek Hough.
Analysis: Can Elaine beat Father Time? She’ll need happy tears to get it done. And Derek has described his idea for Elaine as “classy” and “timeless”. I know all three of them can do this.
Jordan Chiles and partner Ezra Sosa will do a Freestyle to “Motivation” by Normani with Carrie Ann Inaba.
Analysis: A stylish pick to win it all, Jordan has been ready and steady all season. Carrie Ann will make sure the Ezra choreo trolls stay away if this finals appearance didn’t accomplish that all season.
