ESPN First Take: Stephen A. on Kyrie Irving “He thinks we’re the lost souls”

As the basketball world continues to reel from the antics of the Brooklyn Nets and their star, Kyrie Irving, basketball analysts and personalities all over television are trying to decipher exactly what is going on with the team and Irving, who has shared material considered anti-Semitic in recent days.

ESPN First Take host and NBA analyst, Stephen A. Smith described Irving’s mindset which has been dictating his controversial actions over the past couple of years.

“He thinks, we’re the lost souls. We don’t comprehend.” began Smith.

“Kyrie would have you believe he has done his research and that he knows. And I’m not going to waste my energy trying to explain to y’all because you are not going to get it” he continued.

“When he was in Cleveland and had issues with Lebron. We didn’t get it. When he was in Boston. We didn’t get it. When he got to Brooklyn and he didn’t want to play without KD, he didn’t understand. The bubble we didn’t understand. Social justice. We didn’t understand.”

“In his world he’s saying we’re the real ones. but he doesn’t want to back it up. Because he doesn’t know.” concluded Smith.
