Young Rock was back this week with a new episode, and we caught up with the family as they put on a tribute show to the High Chief Peter Maivia, as Dwayne tried to save the U.S coffee trade deal here in the modern era.

The show really ratcheted up the tension with Lars Anderson (who’s been played very well by Mike Holley) continuing to undermine the entire family, leading up to a locker room confrontation with Younger Dewey Dwayne.

This frustration had been building up for some time. But we finally had some closure when Lia finally fired Lars before the show ended.

Back in the present, DJ offered a proposal to Ghelgium Prime Minister Honig on a profit sharing model for the country’s coffee. While my economic analysis may be a little rusty, a percentage of coffee sales profits from the United States would allow a small nation like that one to really prosper.

We’ll find out more next week as the show speeds towards the end of its likely final season.

Some other notes.

We got to see Rebecca Quin, or as you probably know her, Becky Lynch, once again play Cindy Lauper. Quin is just so dog-gone likable, its easy to enjoy watching her play another very likable personality like the 80s star singer.

There was also a lot of mention of Jan Hooks. Hooks was a cast member on Saturday Night Live in the 80s. She passed away in 2014 with many of her former co workers honoring her after her passing.
