Bel Air: Jazz and Hillary aren’t working and they’re not supposed to be

Another great episode of Bel Air this week, and I was prepared to write a “who done it?” on the locker room video but that excellent mystery was resolved before the end of the show.

So, let’s discuss another big issue that I’m sure a lot of guys and girls will be able to relate to. That embarrassing scenario at dinner with Hillary and Jazz.

Jazz, already discouraged that he’s losing his girlfriend to the higher society she’s embedded in, takes her to a fancy dinner meant to set up a fresh start. The card is declined. Hillary ends up paying.

If you’re guy this is absolutely mortifying. And its probably more common than you think. That doesn’t take the sting off though.

But let’s confront the truth. Jazz and Hillary aren’t supposed to be together.

Hillary is supposed to be with Lamarcus, the first round football draft pick that we’ve seen the last couple of weeks (that shaft-looking dude).

He’s the guy with the means. He’s the guy with the money. He’s the guy with the family history.

A lot of romantics will try to paint this as true love, but Jazz and Hillary aren’t there yet. Dude didn’t even want to loan her his car for the commercial shoot.

Let’s pump the brakes for a second. Its really not anyone’s fault. There are a lot of good intentions here. But it’s not meant to be.

And if we must blame someone, its Will’s fault for playing cupid when he should have been at basketball practice or trying to win The Founder’s Award, instead of this or ticking off Uncle Phil again (he should be throwing him out this time).

Drama. That’s why we love this show.

I’ll see you next week.
