The Mandalorian: Yes. Yes. Yes. No. Yes. Yes.

Can you believe this season of The Mandalorian is already almost in the books? And the penultimate episode gave us another memorable cliffhanger, as Bo and Din try to lead their people back to their planet and way of life.

Except Moff Gideon wasn’t having any of it.

Indeed, Giancarlo Esposito was back in the role, and in full force, organizing the remnants of The Empire to its inevitable resurgence. Star Wars lifers will have noticed Captain Palleon in the meeting, as well as the name drop of Grand Admiral Thrawn, who will make his live action debut in Ashoka.

Gideon captured Din in the final moments of what was an excellent battle between the Mandalorians and the Empire. I was hyped watching them rush down that corridor, and devastated when I saw the hidden base. They were right there the entire time.

The finale sets us up for what looks like an inevitable battle between Bo and Gideon. And it looks like Grogu will have to rescue his dad for the second time this season from the Gideon’s base.

And we do have to talk about Grogu, and his new mech, made out of the android that was their first enemy of the series, in what seems like so long ago. I loved how the droid spoke with only “Yes” and “No” in its vocabulary.

In closing, great seeing Mercedes Varnado aka Sasha Banks again. I know myself and many pro wrestling fans are enjoying her appearances on the show.

I’ll see you next week for the finale!
