The Mandalorian: Answering how everyone eats may have been the most interesting info provided in “The Foundling”
No matter how complicated or in depth a mythology can get, sometimes its the most simplest of questions which need answering. And this week’s episode of “The Mandalorian” may have provided something we all wanted to know.
How do The Mandalorians eat without taking off their helmets around others?
As you know, its forbidden for these oath fueled warriors to remove their helmets around anyone. Its why Din had to almost get eaten by a dinosaur as penance.
This week’s episode “The Foundling” answered that question.
They don’t.
When Bo Katan, a recently redeemed Mandalorian asked the question, she is told that everyone takes their food and goes and eats in private.
That’s it.
Because she is the party leader for the rescue mission after a foundling is foundling-napped by a winged dragon-like creature, she gets to eat next to the fire.
I don’t know about you guys. But I wish I could have claimed being a Mandalorian to get away from eating at the dinner table when I was younger. It would have meant Super Empire Strikes Back on the Super Nintendo.
Some other notes..
All of the Grogu stuff was ultra enjoyable. I’m waiting for the moment when the sight of Baby Yoda preparing for combat doesn’t make me feel anything. That moment has yet to arrive.
I’m trying to figure out what Bo Katan wants. Is it a power play? Is it all good natured? I’m not really sure at the moment. Katee Sackhoff just keeps her excellent sci-fi performances going though. She’s been doing this for a long time now. Simply enjoyable.
See you next time!
