“Wake Up Deadman” has started shooting according to a social media post from director, Rian Johnson, and the “Knives Out” 3 protagonist, Benoit Blanc, has a new look in the released photo.

We see Daniel Craig with longer hair and what looks like some facial scruff in the black and white photo. Blanc of course, was behind discovering the killers in the first two films of the franchise.

“Aaaaand we’re off! Today is day 1 of shooting on the next Benoit Blanc mystery “Wake Up Dead Man” – see you on the other side.” say Johnson in the post.

The rest of the star studded cast includes Thomas Haden Church, Jeremy Renner, Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, Josh Brolin, and much more.

“Knives Out” has become a successful franchise, in an age where its comic book movies and reboots that take up much of the movie theater screens. But Johnson has managed to put together these casts of fan favorites and place them in roles that bounce effectively off of the Benoit Blanc character.

In the original Knives Out, Blanc had to determine who killed the patriarch of a wealthy family, as his relatives tried to jockey for position to inherit his fortune following his passing. Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, and Ana De Armas were among the stars there.

“Glass Onion” A Knives Out Mystery, arrived on Netflix with a cast that included Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista, where Blanc was invited to a mysterious party hosted by a billionaire involving an unexpected death.

The details behind the plot of “Wake Up Deadman” have yet to be revealed.
