In a sequel not a lot of us were expecting, it appears that we’re getting another Sausage Party.

Sausage Party: Foodtopia dropped it’s trailer today and its hoping to keep the wild energy from the first film going in this Amazon Prime release.

You might remember the plot of the first Sausage Party. Sentient food is happy being food, before they discover they exist for our consumption. And as they’re being eaten, audiences are given a close up look at their gruesome death as they’re torn apart. Either by our mouths or through food preparation.

This time the food have apparently taken over the planet, only to discover that they can still be destroyed in many other ways, including by a rainstorm/flood that we see in the trailer. The food is then forced to find some kind of coexistence with their old enemies, human kind.

We’re getting our star studded voice talent team again, including Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Edward Norton, and Michael Cera.

The first film in 2016 almost brought in a $100 mil domestically against a budget that was a fraction of that. The money makes sense.
