The end of the third episode of the fourth season of “The Boys” offers up a lot of questions.
But the one that came out of left field for many of us was the hook up between Sister Sage and The Deep.
Why would the most intelligent person on the planet hook up with the dumbest of her colleagues?
It could have been because she was her own version of drunk.
We see a bloody instrument on the table as Sage and Deep hook up. It looks like she may have been performing some kind of lobotomy or brain work to herself.
The scenario makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
It was a tough day. The Vought on Ice fiasco was a mess. Sage isn’t getting any closer to finding answers for Homelander. For the smartest person on the planet it was time to unwind.

This meant a Bloomin’ Onion from The OutBack, some bad reality television, and hooking up with someone you’re almost certainly going to regret hooking up later with.
Sister Sage was her version of drunk. You and I shoot whiskey. She damages her brain.
What does this mean moving forward?
Well, Sage will almost certainly regret her actions when she comes to. There is nothing good that could come out of hooking up with The Deep. Homelander won’t like it.
But she also opens herself up to an attack from Ashley Barrett. She took her job. Remember?
You can expect to see Ashley return to the top if Sage continues the trend.
