That storm of noise you hear approaching is the opening weekend of the National Football League, which will dominate all of our television watching efforts for the next few months. If you’re a fan like me (Go Pack Go!), NFL action with fall premieres makes TV just sublime. If you’re not a fan, I’ll try to get you through it.

Let’s run through the action tonight.

NBC: Indeed will kickoff the NFL season tonight with the defending Super Bowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs, with Patrick Mahomes and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, taking on reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. You can also watch the game on Peacock and simulcasted on Telemundo.

CBS: Isn’t getting out of the way. They’ll be running a new Big Brother before reruns of Young Sheldon, Ghosts, and Fire Country.

ABC: has a rerun of Press Your Luck before a new Lucky 13, and a repeat of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

FOX will show a repeat of Master Chef, while the CW gives us a repeat of Penn and Teller Fool Us and new eps of Totally Funny Animals and Totally Funny Kids.

While cable will be fairly quiet, the streamers will be active with Neflix premiering The Perfect Couple starring Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber.

Peacock as the Bel Air finale and the premiere of Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist.
