Only Murders In The Building: S4 E9 Not sold on “Moriarty” but that reveal can’t be everything

The penultimate episode of season four of “Only Murders In The Building” has dropped, and it looks like we’ve gotten a reveal of a killer.

At least one of them anyway.

It appears that Marshall was Sazz’s protege and that in order to cover his tracks in what ever murderous conspiracy is playing out before us, he had to kill Glenn Stubbins in his hospital bed (Paul Rudd has died on this show about three times already by the way). And Mabel connected the dots with him in her apartment setting up yet another cliffhanger.

Don’t buy that Marshall is the only domino that needs to fall.

There had to be two killers. It’s possible the second killer was the bartender from Concussions or someone from the film.

We haven’t seen everything. Not even close.

But I don’t believe this “Moriarty” is a real thing. And I won’t until I see it.

For the uninitiated, there is a belief in the Only Murders fandom that there has been a criminal mastermind working to thwart our beloved amateur sleuths for sometime. There are a ton of theories over who this person could be from Howard to Loretta.

But there hasn’t been any official word that such a character exists. And fan theories on shows like this one have a really bad track record.

Plus, look at where we are. It’s season four. We’ll likely get one more season of Charles, Oliver, Mabel, and Ron Howard. Then that’s it.

Of course, Only Murders does a good job in wrapping up it’s seasons. While I’m skeptical on Moriarty, I’m confident we’ll get a solid finale.
