The latest episode of Shrinking is behind us, and the Alice birthday episode, gave us a lot to think about.

First off, Cobie Smulders was teased as a possible love interest for Jimmy. How awesome was that “How I Met Your Mother” reunion?

But, let’s talk about the reason you’re here.

The reason I’m team Jimmy after Alice’s birthday tantrum.

So, let me get this straight.

Jimmy goes out and buys his daughter a car, along with what was a pretty cool party before she took off early with her friends.

Then she derails her own night to hang out with the man who killed her mother, then chew out the father that just bought her the car she used to visit the man that killed his wife.

Listen, Jimmy may eventually forgive Louis properly.

But killing his wife will never be okay. I don’t care how much he loves Ms. Congeniality.

And before this unjust punishment, Jimmy was having a pretty awesome season. Especially with his clients. Including that dude he took to Alice’s school before they went for a swim in the ocean.

All Alice has done is hangout with her mom’s killer, and hook up with her best friend’s boyfriend.

I’ve come to realize that “Shrinking” is about a word that I probably don’t care about as much as the standard viewer.

“Shrinking” is about grace. And that is a beautiful ambition.

But you kill my wife, and then allow me to get chewed out for buying my only daughter a brand new car for over $1K Blue Book, you’ll get none of it from me.
