Special Forces World’s Toughest Test: Fighting Cam Newton is worse than any challenge

Let’s do a quick rhetorical Q&A.

Hey, Frank? Would you rather jump on to a helicopter from a moving speed boat, or fight Cam Newton?

I’d rather jump on to a helicopter.

Hey, Frank? Would you rather swim underwater and unlock a case, or fight Cam Newton?

Give me the case.

Frank, would you rather Bungie jump, or fight Cam Newton?

Where’s the bungie cord?

You get my point. Last night, Olympic swimmer, Nathan Adrian, after coasting on some early water-centric challenges, had perhaps the worst task of the season so far.

He had to fight, Cam Newton.

NFL MVP quarterback, Cam Newton, who stands at 6’5, weighs 245 lbs, and is considered one of the best athletes of the modern sport. He once beat up a group of guys by himself when they attacked him at a football tournament.

No, thank you. Take my number right now.

Of course, Adrian walked away with a bloody nose, and ultimately had to leave the show anyway. He probably should have seen the match up and just self exited.

To the show’s defense, there is no way the show could have navigated having Cam on the show while avoiding this challenge. You can’t take it out, it looks too good on television. In retrospect, they probably should have had him fight Golden Tate. But there is no guarantee Tate would have done better, given the ringer he’s been through (story HERE).

And Kayla Nicole sounded like she wanted to fight him. There is apparently some leftover beef from a podcast to sort through. Of course that’s not happening.

It sounds like whether it’s age (3 out of the 4 first competitors eliminated were over 50), or physical strength, there is still some work reality TV has to do with these kinds of mismatches.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
