Green Bay protests over Ukraine Oval Office affair disregards foreign policy Wisconsin voted for

This weekend, we had protests here in Green Bay over the dispute in the Oval Office last week between President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky (story HERE).

Yeah, I know. Some of our neighbors are opposing what Wisconsin and the United States as a whole, voted for.

Here is the truth. Some of these protesters are more concerned with raising their own profiles than they are about ending wars. Which is what these discussions are all about.

They are looking at the desires of the majority and putting their personal gain first. While they’ll shirk any “America First” philosophies it’s because they’re “Me First” in their actions.

We also know that there are a lot of Green Bay residents that are tired of Zelensky treating the nation like an ATM. They’re tired of sending resources abroad, while we have struggling veterans (myself included) and others suffering here at home.

We also have to be mindful that the White House isn’t giving up on a peace deal. These negotiations are have been planned with discussions for each side scheduled. And we can’t forget about the minerals deal that will eventually be signed, and result in another step towards prosperity for both of our nations.

All of this is better than the years of inaction that we witnessed as the alternative.

It’s important that we look at these protests that are taking place without firm call to action, as nothing but political theater being used to exalt the profiles a few ambitious individuals that will use this conflict to advance their own goals.

I wish they would fly the American flag with the same enthusiasm they channel to fly the flags of other nations and the protest signs they spend all night crafting.
