Fantasy Football: OBJ Has Mystery Value In Return To Giants
Odell Beckhmam Jr. is going back to where it all began for him in his epic career as an NFL wide receiver. The New York Giants signed OBJ this week, along with a couple of other veterans receivers.
How Much Value Does Odell Beckham Jr. Provide Fantasy Football Owners?
OBJ Is A Risky And Mysterious Fantasy Pick-up: OBJ has had a great career. And he’s 33 years old, an age where it’s still possible for a wide receiver to produce, but not likely. He also hasn’t played meaningful football in five years and hasn’t broken 1000 yards in seven years.
Malik Nabers Is Still WR1 In New York: But he’s injury prone. Granted he had some serious problems with the coaching staff last season and will likely be excited to play with John Harbaugh. But this squad of receivers are a needed contingency with recent roster turnover.
OBJ Could Still Find The End Zone On The Right Offense: OBJ is known for running a nice route close to the end zone. A handful of touchdowns isn’t out of the question for him if Cam Skattebo can’t jam it in.
Bottom Line: Don’t draft Odell Beckham Jr. But do keep an eye on the health of Malik Nabers and how John Harbaugh will use him early on. It sure would be great to see OBJ in the end zone for big blue this year.
