Mall Cop Confessions: Guards, you need to be using gloves
Being a retail security guard/officer is a good job. You get to talk to a lot of different people and if you get a good post where you fit in nicely then it can be a great job.
But it can also be a little gross.
You have to go looking for a lot of missing things. Occasionally there is some first aid. And yeah, you may even find yourself cleaning up some stuff.
Which is why we all need to be carrying and using gloves.
We know the truth. Shopping centers can be a little gross. People don’t care about the cleanliness of our facility. They dump food. They spit everywhere. Sometimes they get drunk and hurl.
You don’t want to be anywhere near someone else’s bodily fluids barehanded.
It’s remarkable that there is still a lot of training doctrine out there that is missing guidance on using gloves. It should be pretty mandatory stuff by now.
If you’re like me, you’re probably saying to yourself, “Great. Something else I’ve got to carry”.
Well lucky for us, there are glove carriers that go right on our guard belts.
And I know some of you guys like to load up your belts as much as possible. Here is something you will actually have to use on a regular basis
And glove holders are not that expensive. You can buy them on Amazon HERE.
Get it done guys. Protect your hands and everything those hands touch. Don’t let the gross stuff get too close.
