Some NBA talent news out of ESPN this week. Malika Andrews has been promoted, and will be anchoring some editions of their NBA Countdown program. Countdown sets the table for the evening’s coverage, and is regularly hosted by Mike Greenberg (story HERE).

Last week, Malika Andrews upset some ESPN viewers with her take on the Ime Udoka scandal. Udoka has been suspended as head coach of the Boston Celtics just an offseason after leading the team to the finals, after violating team rules. Those violations may have involved other members of the Celtics organization.

Andrews then got in a tense verbal exchange with Stephen A. Smith on First Take, which resulted in her trending in the negative on Twitter. With some fans potentially being open to a return from former host, Rachel Nichol. Nichols a short time later announced she has signed a deal with Showtime Sports.
