The Boys doesn’t shy away from politics and using rhetoric pulled from real life to bounce off of their storylines, no matter how foolish they are.

Take this line we heard this week during the “Dirty Business” episode when Vice President Victoria Neuman is listening to a guest at the party.

“Actually, we know that the rape is legitimate, the woman’s body has a way to reject that pregnancy. A nationwide ban on abortion is just good policy.”

Neuman is so angered that she explodes her own head in fast, waking nightmare sequence.

Similar remarks were actually used years ago from former Missouri Congressman, Todd Akin

“It seems to be, first of all, from what I understand from doctors, it’s really rare. If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down.”

Akin would later say the remarks were taken out of context. He passed away in 2021.

The Boys has gone all in on political satire in it’s fourth season. The entire mission has revolved around preventing head exploding ‘supe’ Victoria Neuman from eventually eliminating the President and working with Homelander to take over the world.

Later on in the episode, she steps in to convince the powerful attendees at the party that she can lead the country better than President elect Singer. All of this while a rescue is taking place by “The Boys” in the sex dungeon of Batman/Iron Man knock off Tek Knight.
