FOX Sports: Many fans wants Skip Bayless fired after his remarks regarding Damar Hamlin

On Monday night, the sports world came to a stop when Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills collapsed following a collision with Tee Higgins of the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football. After receiving CPR on the field for almost 10 minutes, he was transported to a medical facility where he remains in critical condition. The game has been postponed until a later date.

Sports commentator Skip Bayless had these words…

No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game – but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant.

His words set off a flurry of rebuttals from figures all over the world of sports and media, who were both appalled and disgusted by his words. He would eventually issue the statement below…

Many fans did not believe that his words were authentic.

Bayless has always gravitated towards controversial remarks. Some time back he was insensitive regarding the mental health of Dak Prescott, quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, Bayless’ favorite NFL team. And most recently, he downplayed the achievements of his on air partner, Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe, in his attempt to defend Tom Brady.
