We finally got a look at the new “White Men Can’t Jump” remake/revisioning/reboot/ that no one asked for, starring Jack Harlow and Sinqua Walls in similar parts made famous by Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes in the 1992 original.

And it doesn’t make me feel good about where we’re headed.

“Why are they playing indoors?”

The original White Men Can’t Jump featured all of the major games outdoors. This is supposed to be pick-up or street ball. In the trailer we see Jeremy and Kamal playing inside of a gym.

The two characters do try to pick up on the Snipes-Harrelson banter. And we see Jeremy meditating courtside which is also very Billy Hoyle like.

Our problem is that I didn’t even crack a smile.

Still, its only 30 seconds. We can’t get too carried away.
