We had an excellent new Valentines episode of Ghosts this week. And there was a lot going on, but let’s start with the edgier stuff that the show slightly discussed ahead of Thor and Flower’s big date.

Mostly, I’m talking about that absolute elbow from the top rope disrespect of “The Bachelor”.

When Thor settles on the idea of a date with Flower he acknowledges the notorious habits of the decades old ABC reality franchise.

“But Thor can’t take Flower on hot air balloon trip. Or private country concert with unknown country music star with label also owned by network”

If you don’t watch The Bachelor (this blog used to cover it). Thor is talking about the notorious one on one dates between the season’s Bachelor or Bachelorette that usually ends with a surprise country concert.

It happens every season and most of the time viewers don’t know who the musician is. That’s what made it so funny.

There was even the callback like “Never eat big meal before fantasy suite”.

The show was a win on other fronts as well. The Hetty and Nigel feud is terrific and I can’t wait to see more of it. And is it me, or is Sass becoming the biggest instigator in the house?

Sam lying to Jay about eating the ram’s testicles in memory of Thor’s father may have been the biggest single laugh of the show.

Flower is one of my favorite ghosts in the house. Getting some more definition to her story was rewarding.

And Pete had some fun stuff. “Nothing revs up a lady like some good improv”.

The second season is proving to be as fun, if not more fun, than the first. I can’t wait until the next show.
