What’s On TV Tonight 6/16/24: House of the Dragon returns, 77th Tony Awards
Big nights for fans of theater and Game of Thrones. While the dog days of summer can be tough for TV fans, this Sunday night offers some strong options.
CBS will offer the 77th Tony Awards with Ariana Debose once again hosting. Even for fans that aren’t into the nominees, there is enough star power to watch for a little bit.

NBC is powering forward to it’s Olympics coverage with more of the summer trials. See some of the world’s best athletes here.
FOX has the UFL Championship game. Spring football has always been tricky, and unfortunately there might be some empty seats for this even too. TMZ investigates Ben and JLo afterwards.
ABC will offer a rerun of America’s Funniest Home Videos and the Jungle Book. Essentially a night off.

Finally, the CW will offer a screening of Armageddon. The Bruce Willis 98′ asteroid epic is one of the best summer movies ever. Shut off your brain and enjoy.
The real story tonight will be on cable, where House of the Dragon returns. The Game of Thrones spin off will lean into the Targaryen war. The first season was excellent.
And if none of this catches your eye, you can always watch The Boys on Prime Video. The return of that show has been drawing conversation online all weekend.
