Apple TV: Baseball Fans Complain About Cubs Vs. Cardinals Fourth Of July Game Broadcast
There may be a season when Apple TV finally wins over the hearts for Major League Baseball fans, but as we celebrate the Fourth Of July, that year might not be 2025.
Fans were upset that they had to subscribe to the streamer to watch the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Chicago Cubs on Independence Day. In addition to new customers paying Apple’s higher end monthly price, there are still complaints about presentation as well..
Let’s go to the posts..
The fact that today’s Cubs’ Friday 1:20 game on July 4th, our nation’s freakin birthday, is being broadcast on Apple TV+ is a national travesty.

Sitting here, thinking about Cardinals fans, who were probably complaining all morning about Apple TV+, finally tuning into the game, only to see the Cubs belt six home runs in the first three innings. 😂 pic.twitter.com/SrGYdyGFBa

Perhaps Apple TV should stop listing HR probabilities during #Cubs at bats.

Making me buy Apple Tv on the 4th of July to watch Miles Mikolas pitch should constitute a hate crime. #ForTheLou

Putting an afternoon July 4 Cubs-Cards game on Apple TV is terrible for Cubs-Cardinals fans. Just dumb and tone deaf.

It’s ridiculous that a Cubs/Cards game on the 4th of July is on Apple TV
Just sayin #Cubs @MLB— CubbySteph⚾️ (@CubbySteph) July 4, 2025
If you did happen to subscribe to Apple TV for the Cubs vs. Cardinals game, their library does actually feature a few really good shows. If you haven’t already, there is Severance, Ted Lasso, Shrinking, and Presumed Innocent (which also involves Chicago and baseball) all strongly recommended by this blog.
Happy Fourth Of July!
