Ghosts: “Drag Pete to Hell”
We had a new Ghosts this week, and true to the its track record over its almost two seasons (with a third on the way), the show continues to bring back popular guest stars.
This time, we had Elias (played by TV and movie veteran, Matt Walsh), as Hetty’s ex husband, who returned from hell trying to earn forgiveness that would keep him out of Hades, and allow him to live in the mansion with the other ghosts. But it wouldn’t be long before he was up to his old tricks, and he fooled Pete into making a literal deal with the devil, after tricking him into thinking his grandson was hurt. He would have to go back to hell with him unless Hetty signed the contract with sincerity in her heart.
We also had Jay walk through Flower and become an excellent chef that would draw the “Menu Hunter” to the Woodstone. The show brought up a good point. You would think that someone would try to spend their whole day trying to run through Flower to catch an epic high. Ultimately, Jay would get it together and impress the food critic. Elias walking through her and getting her sexually aroused with his ghost power didn’t hurt either.
When it was time for Elias to go back to hell (instead of living under the constant threat of being thrown into the vault by Thor) he tried to drag Pete back to hell with him, before ultimately failing him. I thought they were going to go through with it. That would have been an epic cliffhanger.
Trevor did appreciated that TubThumper by Chumbawamba was on a constant loop in Hell. Are we sure that wasn’t heaven?
Great episode. I’ll see you next time!
