ESPN: Jay Williams says the Lakers should trade LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook
ESPN NBA analyst Jay Williams raised some eyebrows on Thursday morning during First Take, when he suggested the Los Angeles Lakers should consider trading its trio of stars consisting of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook.
The Lakers are currently 0-4 and one of three teams yet to win a game. The others are the Sacramento Kings and our Orlando Magic (post HERE).
“Just go ahead or start clean. Trade LeBron James. Trade Anthony Davis. Trade Russell Westbrook. Now, you can say I’m crazy for saying trade all three but you can’t realistically look at me and say ‘Okay if we do trade LeBron James, we are going to bode well or believe in Anthony Davis to carry the torch for this team.” said Williams, mentioning Davis’ injury history.
Stephen A. Smith agreed, adding “The Lakers are just not good.” and actually went on to praise the Magic and Paolo Banchero, as well as some of the other teams.
