Shrinking was back this week with a new episode that tried to pick up the pieces, after that surprise hookup between Jimmy and Gabby last week. While I didn’t care for the two getting together, the way they handled the aftermath was about as good as it could get.

The two had an honest conversation at the office where Gabby declared Jimmy a “safe dick”, and that there will never be any feelings between the two. Boy, am I happy they didn’t try to build on this.

Let’s talk about Paul.

The truth is that there are families all over the world that are going through this very issue. When do you call an ill parent home? How do you do it in a fashion that doesn’t make them feel like they’re being a burden? Many of us have no clue how to do this. And Paul’s daughter is no different. Harrison Ford crushed it again this week.

The Sean and Alice angle continues to make me squirm a little bit. I was hoping that they would move on but it seems like they’re focused on moving forward. I really don’t want the PTSD veteran hooking up with the underaged girl (17 and 22 is still uncomfortable). I love how Shrinking has handled the issue up to this point. Let’s hope they don’t goof it up.

Derek and Liz won again this week. I’ve also known couples that have been together a long time and fight over being in the house to relax.

It was also good to see Wendy Malick again. Especially sharing time with Ford.

And it will be great to see you again next week. Its an awesome feeling to know that even after Shrinking finishes its first run, many of us will be sticking around for Ted Lasso’s final campaign. I can’t wait.
