ESPN show host and analyst Stephen A. Smith said there was “No Way in Hell” that the New York Giants are going to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in their NFL playoff divisional round match up this weekend. The Giants upset the Minnesota Vikings 31-24 on Sunday afternoon.

Smith was in his usual chair on Monday morning on First Take with Molly Querim, his regular nemesis Michael Irvin, and Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman, when he said the following..

“There is no way in hell, I believe the New York Giants are beating the Philadelphia Eagles. Let me get that out of the way off top. It ends now. The ride was nice.” Smith began “But Philadelphia is a different animal than the Minnesota Vikings”.

The Eagles are the top seed in the NFC and enjoyed a playoff bye this weekend. The First Take crew was in Tampa this morning to preview the remaining NFC game on Monday Night Football between the Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The winner of that contest will travel to San Francisco to take on the 49ers who defeated the Seattle Seahawks this past weekend.
