The Bear: The Top 5 Moments from “Bears”

Episode seven of season four of The Bear is bound to be a favorite of many fans after the series has wrapped (that’s not happening anytime soon, it just got renewed). “Bears” gives us everything we wanted from the Tiffany and Frank wedding, including the return of some past guest stars, and the addition of even more celebrity surprises. And it feels natural not forced (looking at you “Only Murders”, still love you guys too though).

There could have been 20 items on this list, but these are the top five moments in “Bears” in no particular order.

Francie vs. Natalie aka “Sugar”: Sugar is right up there with Richie as one of my favorites. And Oscar winner Brie Larson was the perfect hire for the infamous Francie, who we’ve been hearing about for literal years, and unlocks an unbelievable anger in Natalie that we only see when she’s mentioned. I loved how these two went straight for each others throats. That’s how intense they were. This moment lived up to the hype.

Under the table: The Eva pep talk under the table, which included about half of the cast will be the highlight for many. I I wish they would have given us a better copy of that group selfie. This was real storybook wedding stuff.

Carmy, Lee, and nicotine gum: I’m worried this seen will be overlooked in the star power of this episode. Carmy found out that Mikey was proud of him from Lee of all people. Circumstances don’t allow Jon Bernthal to be here obviously. But this was the next best thing.

Sydney and Donna: I’m so glad showrunner made this talk happen. I think both characters have incredible insight about Carmy. Jamie Lee Curtis keeps sewing our hearts back together. And it’s hard not to see Ayo Ediberi as the season MVP so far.

Claire-Bear Supremacy: I’ve been a stout Molly Gordon defender since she got here. “Too perfect” has to be one of the most ridiculous arguments against her character. And I’ll go further. How perfect she was here is another reason why she deserves happiness when this show decides to end.

Just excellent storytelling.
