Dancing With The Stars: Judges may be expecting too much from Kaitlyn Bristowe after fast start

After the first few weeks of Dancing With The Stars on ABC, it seemed like The Bachelor’s Kaitlyn Bristowe could do no wrong. She has been getting high scores from the jump of the season.

And if we’re being honest, they were well deserved. That duo moves great out there.

But over the past two weeks, the judges have gotten tougher on Bristowe. On this week’s show, she actually had one of the lower scores in the group.

And the critique was tougher. On one occasion last week she actually received a negative leaning review and still got a 9 anyways.

The rest of the group is getting better. This includes Nev Schulman who has been neck and neck with Bristow in previously weeks, as well as crowd favorites like Skai Jackson and Justina Machado.

But here’s the thing. Bristowe isn’t really regressing. So where does that leave us?

I can tell you it certainly makes for great television. And that’s what ABC and DWTS producers want.

The uncertainty involved with none of the stars being safe is exciting. This recently happened with Johnny Weir, who was also strong up until last week when it looked like he might go home, only to knock it out of the park with vampire teeth last night.

It’s possible the same might happen with Bristow even if her baseline has been significantly higher than anyone else’s.

But ABC and ABC network viewers love their Bachelor alum. Ask Hannah Brown.

Anyways, on to next week, when we’ll see TWO eliminations.
