This is a bitterly funny post for me, because I don’t believe in buying consoles during an initial launch. They’re overpriced and too buggy.
But the internet won’t let this one go.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a lot of game. And considering the epic-ness of the title, it should surprise no one that it’s going to take a lot of horsepower to run the game properly.
And that is horsepower that apparently older Playstation 4 and XBox One consoles don’t have at the moment.
Those machines are reportedly having some difficulty with the game. We’re talking about glitches, freezes, and some other problems ruining the experience for gamers everywhere.
Here are just some of the jokes out there…

While we can goof, there is also a part of this that’s not so funny. Meaning, that gamers put out some Christmas time coin for a game that isn’t running as well as they were lead to believe it should. That’s a matter that needs to be fixed by developers ASAP.
And let’s also remember that there are some fans of the game that might not have actually been able to get their hands on a Playstation 5 or an XBox Series X at launch. You can’t exactly walk into a store and buy those at the moment.
So for now, the Night City experience will have to look a little differently for everyone right now.
