What’s trending in Orlando? Vaccine to Advent, Cole Anthony to Magic, Remote learning to continue

A very busy Thursday morning with Orlando trends, with a local hospital slated to be among the first to receive the COVID 19 vaccine, an exciting new addition to the Magic, and remote learning to continue during the pandemic.

Advent Health has met the criteria that will allow them to be among the first hospitals to get the COVID 19 vaccine. Hospital officials have been adamant that there will be a phased approach to distributing the vaccine. Orlando is currently experiencing a spike in COVID 19 cases (story HERE).

The Orlando Magic selected Cole Anthony, guard, from North Carolina, during the first round of the NBA draft last night. Anthony is an exciting player that can score and will be a welcomed addition to Markelle Fultz in the backcourt.

Finally, Florida Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran has announced that multiple learning options for children during the pandemic will continue into the spring. Including a virtual option. There had been concerns that sending children back to the class room to early would put them at risk (story HERE).
