An Orlando native and UCF fan myself, it hurts me to see Scott Frost struggle in Nebraska coaching the Cornhuskers, but he hasn’t caught a break, and today was no different as the Huskers lost to a Minnesota Golden Gophers team that was missing a large number of players.
After the 24-17 loss, the Huskers fell to 2-5 on the season. This is Frost’s 20th loss with the program in three seasons.
A fact that Huskers fans wouldn’t let get by them, as they completely tore into their head football coach following the effort in an onslaught so bad, they got him trending on social media and on the engines.
Here are just some of the remarks.
There’s no positive spin to be made for Scott Frost right now. This is easily one of the most embarrassing losses in recent memory. Minnesota down ~1/3 of their roster, giving up 35 ppg comes to Lincoln and holds Nebraska to 17. #huskers

Nebraska football is the only team I have ever seen that thinks just because you won the week before you can waltz out and just win…they look like absolute garbage. Playing against a team who has 33 players missing. Awful leadership and it falls on @coach_frost shoulders

This is the worse Nebraska team I have seen in my 42 years of being a fan, totally disgusted, there is absolutely nothing to be positive about, Frost is terrible and Martinez should not be on the field.

Scott Frost is a much worse coach than anyone thought, but Nebraska went all in on him. They got to give him unlimited time or this program is done forever.

I'm not giving MN credit for shit! This is on the Nebraska coaches, specifically the play caller @coach_frost. Just terrible, and fans should demand accountability. I don't have enough money for the University to care what I think, tho. So I'll just sit by and watch the decline.

Nebraska fans trying to rationalize how Scott Frost is any good and their program isn’t complete dogshit pic.twitter.com/bp3BuBAVfI

Nebraska losing that game at home to a Minnesota squad that was down 33 players has to be the lowest moment of the Scott Frost era in Lincoln.
You just cannot lose that game if you are the Cornhuskers.

And there were many, many, more.
Looking under the hood. There was a streak of winter weather moving across the country, and some Christmas time content there too. The Frost negative sentiment might have drafted some of that traffic as well. Key terms included Frost, Huskers, and Nebraska.
Stay strong coach. We still love you back in Orlando.
